Reneta — Privacy Policy

Reneta ("Reneta," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by SensaWunda Co LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information Reneta processes, why we process it, when information is transmitted or stored off your device, the third parties involved, how information is retained, and the choices available to you.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Reneta iOS app and Reneta-operated websites that link to this policy. It does not apply to third-party websites, apps, or services that you choose to visit or use, even if Reneta links to or receives information from them.

2. Reneta's On-Device Library

Your Reneta library is stored locally on your device. Reneta does not use a server-based user account to hold your saved library, and SensaWunda does not maintain a server-side copy of your private collection. iCloud synchronization is not currently enabled.

The principal exception is sharing. When you intentionally create a Reneta share link, the public details needed to make that link work are stored on Reneta-controlled infrastructure, as described in Section 6 below.

3. Information Reneta Processes

Content you provide

• Text you type or dictate, including names, categories, locations, descriptions, and personal notes.
• Photos, screenshots, or images you choose to capture, import, or share into Reneta.
• Links you share into Reneta and publicly available metadata associated with those links.
• Preferences and information you choose to enter, such as your display name, home location, saved categories, plans, tracked artists, and feature preferences.

Voice capture

When you use voice capture, Reneta uses Apple's speech-recognition services to convert your speech to text. The audio is transmitted to Apple for transcription. Reneta does not store the audio on your device or on Reneta-controlled servers; only the resulting text is retained as part of your local save.

Location information

With your permission, Reneta uses location information to provide location-dependent features, including At-Home resurfacing, nearby or contextual resurfacing, weather checks for saved Plans, and Adventure Mode. Reneta may request Always location authorization when a feature requires background location signals, including through Apple location frameworks such as CLVisit.

Reneta does not use location information for advertising and does not maintain a continuous history of your movements. Location permissions are requested when they become relevant to a feature, and you can change them at any time in iOS Settings.

Notification information

If you enable notifications, Reneta may send Plan reminders, Don't Miss alerts, weather-related notices, At-Home nudges, subscription or trial reminders, and other notices related to features you use. Apple and the device operating system process notification information as necessary to deliver those notifications.

Subscription and transaction information

Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. SensaWunda does not receive your full payment-card information. Reneta may receive subscription status, product identifiers, transaction or entitlement information, renewal or expiration information, and related records needed to determine feature access, provide support, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Support communications

If you contact us, we may receive your name, email address, the content of your message, and any other information you choose to provide so we can respond and maintain appropriate support records.

Website launch-notification email

If you submit an email address through a Reneta launch-notification form, that email address is stored on Reneta-controlled infrastructure and is used to provide the requested launch or availability communication. We do not sell or rent these email addresses. You may ask us to remove yours by contacting support@getreneta.com.

4. AI Processing and Your Permission

Reneta uses third-party artificial intelligence to interpret and organize certain captures. Before Reneta sends personal data or user content to a third-party AI provider, the app will clearly identify the provider, describe the types of information that may be sent and why, and ask for your explicit permission.

If you grant permission, Reneta may send the content needed to interpret a capture to Anthropic's Claude service. Depending on what you choose to save, this may include typed or dictated text, a shared-link caption or metadata, a screenshot, or a photo. Reneta uses the returned result to identify, classify, structure, or organize the thing you are saving.

Reneta does not authorize Anthropic to use Reneta users' commercial API inputs or outputs to train Anthropic models. Under Anthropic's standard commercial API practices, inputs and outputs may generally be retained for up to 30 days, subject to Anthropic's product configuration, security and abuse-prevention requirements, legal obligations, and any separate data-processing arrangement. If Reneta later operates under an approved zero-data-retention arrangement, this policy may be updated to reflect that configuration.

If you do not grant AI-processing permission, Reneta will not send your captures to Anthropic. Features that depend on AI interpretation may be unavailable or may provide reduced functionality.

5. Other Services Used to Process or Enrich Captures

To provide requested features, Reneta may transmit limited information to service providers and reference sources. We send only the information reasonably necessary for the requested function.

• Apple: speech recognition, Apple Maps place search, WeatherKit, podcast lookup services, StoreKit/App Store subscription processing, notifications, and other operating-system services used by the app.
• The Movie Database (TMDB) and JustWatch: movie, television, and streaming-availability information.
• Ticketmaster: event and tour information used by features such as Don't Miss.
• Wikipedia: public reference information, including artist or subject background.
• Open Library: book information.
• Clearbit and Google: business or brand reference information, such as logos, where permitted by the applicable service terms.
• Public web pages behind links you choose to share with Reneta, including links originating from services such as Instagram or TikTok: Reneta may retrieve public page metadata needed to identify and organize the shared item.

These services may receive a title, search term, public URL, image, text, location information, or other limited information when necessary to provide the feature you requested. Service providers that process personal information on Reneta's behalf are expected to protect that information consistently with applicable law, their contractual obligations, and the privacy commitments described in this policy.

6. Sharing and Share-Link Storage

Reneta does not make your saved library public. When you tap Share this and create a Reneta share link, Reneta stores the shared item's public card details on Reneta-controlled infrastructure so the short link can continue to resolve when the recipient opens it later.

The stored share record may include the item's title, category, city or address, website, phone number, description snippet, poster or reference-image URL, genre, year, streaming information, your display name, and an anonymous per-install sender identifier. Reneta does not include or store your private notes or your private photos in the share-link record.

Share-link records are hosted using Vercel and Upstash Redis infrastructure used by Reneta. Share links currently do not automatically expire and may therefore remain stored for as long as the link is intended to remain functional, unless SensaWunda deletes the record or changes the service's retention practices.

When someone shares a Reneta item with you, Reneta may receive the shared item's public details and the sender's display name so that you can view or independently save it. Once information is intentionally shared with another person, Reneta cannot control what that recipient does with the information they receive.

7. Affiliate and Third-Party Links

Reneta may include links to third-party websites and services, including Amazon, where you can purchase products you've saved. When you tap one of these links, you leave Reneta and are taken to the third party's own website or app, which is governed by that third party's privacy policy and terms, not Reneta's. We encourage you to review the privacy practices of any third-party site you visit. Reneta may earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through these links, at no additional cost to you. Reneta does not share your saved items or personal information with Amazon or other retailers; a link simply opens a search for the relevant product on their site.

8. How We Use Information

• To provide, operate, maintain, and secure Reneta.
• To capture, interpret, organize, enrich, retrieve, and resurface things you save.
• To provide Plans, Adventure Mode, Don't Miss, At-Home, weather, location, sharing, and related features you choose to use.
• To determine subscription eligibility and feature entitlements.
• To send notifications and service communications associated with enabled features.
• To provide support and troubleshoot technical problems.
• To prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, circumvention of usage limits, and unlawful activity.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
• To improve Reneta's reliability, matching, enrichment, and user experience using information we are permitted to process for that purpose.

9. When We Disclose Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own targeted advertising.

• We disclose limited information to the service providers and reference sources described in this policy when needed to provide a requested feature.
• We disclose shared-item information to another person only when you intentionally use Reneta's sharing features.
• We may disclose information to professional advisers, auditors, insurers, or contractors where reasonably necessary to operate and protect the business.
• We may disclose information if required by applicable law, legal process, or a valid governmental request, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or prevent fraud or abuse.
• Information may be transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law and appropriate protections.

10. Retention and Deletion

Your private Reneta library remains on your device until you delete individual items, use Delete All My Data, erase the relevant device or application data, or uninstall the app, subject to how iOS handles device backups and restoration.

Share-link records are retained for as long as the applicable share link remains active. Reneta's current share-link implementation does not automatically expire those records. Website launch-notification email addresses are retained until the requested launch communication has been completed, the record is no longer needed for that purpose, or you ask us to remove your address.

Some information necessarily leaves your device to perform requested functions, such as AI interpretation, speech transcription, third-party enrichment, subscription verification, notifications, and support. Those providers retain information according to their applicable terms, product configuration, and data-processing arrangements.

Reneta retains any other information under its control only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide the Service, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, comply with law, and enforce agreements.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit where supported and secure development and storage practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Your Choices and Controls

• AI processing: You may decline the third-party AI permission request. AI-dependent features may then be unavailable or reduced.
• Location: You can change Reneta's location permission at any time in iOS Settings. Location-dependent features may stop functioning.
• Notifications: You can change notification preferences in Reneta where available and in iOS Settings.
• Saved content: You can delete individual saved items in the app.
• Delete All My Data: You can permanently remove Reneta's locally stored captures, adventures, plans, tracked artists, display name, home location, and preferences through Settings > Legal > Delete All My Data. This cannot be undone.
• Launch email: You can request removal from the launch-notification list by contacting support@getreneta.com.

13. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

Reneta does not currently use third-party advertising trackers, cross-app tracking tools, third-party session-recording analytics, or third-party advertising SDKs. Reneta does not use personal information for targeted advertising. If these practices change, we will update this policy and the applicable App Store privacy disclosures before enabling the relevant collection or tracking.

14. Children's Privacy

Reneta is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 in a manner that requires parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

15. International Users and Privacy Rights

SensaWunda Co LLC operates Reneta from the United States. Information transmitted to Reneta or its service providers may be processed in the United States or other countries where those providers operate. Where applicable law requires a recognized transfer mechanism, we and our service providers rely on appropriate contractual or other legally recognized safeguards rather than treating use of the app alone as consent to an international data transfer.

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, portability of, or restriction of personal information, to object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also have the right to complain to a competent privacy or data-protection authority.

Because Reneta stores most of your content only on your device and does not maintain a traditional server-based user account, SensaWunda may not possess or be able to retrieve that locally stored content on your behalf. You can use the in-app deletion tools for that data. For information SensaWunda does control, contact support@getreneta.com. We may need to verify a request before acting on it.

If European Economic Area or United Kingdom data-protection law applies to a processing activity, our legal basis may include your consent, performance of a contract or steps requested by you, legitimate interests in operating, securing, supporting, and improving Reneta where those interests are not overridden by your rights, and compliance with legal obligations.

California and other U.S. state residents may have additional rights under applicable state privacy laws. Reneta does not sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will honor legally applicable privacy requests and non-discrimination rights.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy with an updated Last Updated date. If a change materially affects how we process personal information, we will provide additional notice when required by law or appropriate to the nature of the change.
